Athabasca University TV Commercial

I was approached by one of my longstanding clients to produce a bespoke soundtrack to accompany this Canadian TV commercial celebrating their 50th anniversary. The brief for this project described a delicate soundtrack but with a very specific emotional journey (Intrigue, Hope, Trust, Worry, Uncertainty, Resilience, Reward) to match the storyline of the film. I was also given 2 reference tracks and a specific palette of instrumentation to work with ('Jangly' Piano, Spiccato Cello, Tremelo Strings and vocal pads). Rarely is a brief so well defined for a TV advert soundtrack, but the client clearly had a vision for the piece as a whole and did a great job of getting across their requirements.
